On January 8 Adam says to me "should we enter the Winterloo Mac 'N Cheese Challenge"?
"Two weeks away? Sure why not!" was my reply.
Fast forward 2 weeks and we are in the kitchen Friday spinning caserecce, grating cheese, hand slicing prosciutto and baking butternut squash. Saturday morning the sauce is made and NUDL's are cooked. Adam and our son pack up the van and head out.
In all honesty this was our very first competition and we really didn't expect to win. It was steep competition with some of the regions best chefs and restaurants. It was a wonderful experience, made some new friends and connected with old ones. We look forward to taking part again next winter!
